BERTHA MARGARET HYATT

Bertha Margaret Hyatt, 97, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at her residence Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997.
She was born April 23, 1900 to the late Francis and Sara Jane Leeson.
Bertha was born and raised in Rainy River District, and took an active part in the Pentecostal Church for many years. She enjoyed her flower gardens, and also her crocheting and knitting.
She was predeceased by her husband, James, on Oct. 26, 1971; one son, Carl in 1961; her daughter, Daisy Whitehead, in 1991; son-in-law, Aaron Whitehead; granddaughter, Donna; and grandson, Leonard.
Bertha is survived by one daughter, Joan and husband, Jim Daw, of Emo, Ont.; and four sons, James of Devlin, Ont., Stan and wife, Verna, of Dryden, Ont., Ron and wife, Hazel, of Devlin, Ont., and Marshall and wife, Mona, of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also surviving are numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, 1997 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home. Pastor Dean Patrow officiated, with interment in Box Alder Cemetery.
Friends visited Friday evening, Aug. 29, 1997 from 7 until 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Keith Hyatt, Carl Hyatt, Dennis Hyatt, Stuart Daw, Fred Whitehead, and Jim Tilley.
