Beatrice Ann (Bettyann) Morrisseau, 44, of 812 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
She was born April 16, 1964 in Fort Frances to the late Edward Woods and Eva Morrisseau.
While growing up at Couchiching First Nation, she had many friends, one of whom was Leonard Walsh. Over the years, she grew very fond of Leonard and later shared their lives together and raised their family.
Bettyann worked as a youth worker at Couchiching First Nation for a short period of time.
At home, she cherished the time spent taking care of her children. She also enjoyed the outdoors and taking part at pow-wows with her family and friends.
Bettyann will be dearly missed by her family and by all whose lives were enriched by knowing her.
Bettyann leaves behind her partner, Leonard Walsh; two children, Shawn Morrisseau of Edmonton, Alta. and Thomas Morrisseau of Fort Frances, Ont.; one granddaughter, Eva Morrisseau of Fort Frances, Ont.; one brother, Wes Morrisseau and wife, Debbra, of Barwick, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Rose Morrisseau.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 19, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Pastor Sean Ward officiating.
Interment will take place in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery at Couchiching First Nation, Ont.
Family and friends may visit Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances.
