It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Barry.
Barry Frank Rogers, of Clearwater Lake, was born Nov. 18, 1969. He passed away Jan. 10, 2002.
Barry spent much of his childhood in Kenora, and then moved to London, Ont. More than 10 years ago, he returned to Northwestern Ontario to live and work.
Barry was an exceptional fitter fabricator craftsman and welder. He took great pride in his work, which was more of an art form. He had a great passion for learning and a gift for teaching.
Barry loved spending time at his cabin in the Dryden area on his family homestead. He enjoyed music, and would continually amaze us with his collection of trivia and facts.
The same was true about his favourite movies, which he could recite word for word.
His love for children made him known to so many—young and old—as Uncle Barry. He always made time for them. He would teach them songs and poems, help with homework, listen to their stories, and make them laugh.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Jan. 18, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Off Lake Covenant Church, with Pastor Marty Johnson officiating.
Honourary pallbearers will be Barry’s family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made to the Off Lake Covenant Youth Programs, or the charity of your choice.
