August 4, 1932 – October 30, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aveline O’Neill at Mill Creek Residence in

Kelowna, B.C. Her last few days were spent surrounded by loving family members until she passed away peacefully on October 30, 2021, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Aveline is survived by her children Wendy (Jerry) Campbell, of Kamloops, Pat (Michelene) O’Neill, of Kelowna and Sherri (George) Dickson, of Okotoks, Alberta; as well as her sisters Linda Degelman and Lucy Dolph; her brothers David, Stuart, Dennis and Gary Gregory. She was known as Nana to her seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her devoted husband Jack of 64 years; daughter Janice; her parents Lillian and Cecil Gregory; and her sister Barb McKay.

Aveline was born in Fort Frances, Ontario before moving to Atikokan, Logan Lake and Kelowna. She was mostly a stay at home mom but finished her career with the school district. She was a wonderful wife to Jack and an incredible mother and grandmother. She was dedicated and most proud of her family. She was an amazing cook and her many recipes will be treasured and fondly remembered by her children. She was a good friend to so many. She will always be remembered as a lovely lady with a great smile and a twinkle in her eye.

Her ashes will be scattered at Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery on November 12, 2021, and a celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2022.
