AUDREY (ORTON) MACHULA

Audrey (Orton) Machula passed away April 14, 1998, following a courageous battle with cancer, at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Clara, Cal. She was born in Fort Frances, Ont. on Dec. 19, 1924.
Audrey is survived by her husband of 50 years, Emmette; daughters, Janice (Mark) Christensen of Fortuna, Cal., and Arlyss (Gregg) Chastain of Fort Collins, Col.; son, Bruce Machula of San Jose, Cal.; four grandsons, Jasen and Ryan Christensen, Chad Webb, and Matthew Machula; her sister, Margaret Rousseau and family of Fort Frances, Ont.; brother-in-law, Ronald Machula of Beloit, Wis.; sister-in-law, Mildred (Allen) Rasmessen of Fresno, Cal.; aunts, Mary Bourdages of Nestor Falls, Ont., Ethel Reid of Emo, Ont., and Violet Horley of Edmonton, Alta.; and uncle, Reg Hogan of Fort Frances, Ont.
She was predeceased by son, Dean Ralph; parents, Lou and Ted Orton; in-laws, Ann and Adam Machula; sister-in-law, Carolyn Machula; and brother-in-law, Roland Rousseau.
It was Audrey’s wish that she be cremated and her ashes scattered at sea.
We know that life goes on, that every spring the flowers will appear and birds will sing again. And we know that in our hearts, the memory of those whom we have loved will go on living forever.
Good-bye to a courageous lady–’til we meet again.
