ARNE LLOYD ‘BUD’ STROM

Arne Lloyd “Bud” Strom, 80, of 934 Phair Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away after a short illness on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Bud was born Oct. 24, 1927 in Fort Frances to the late Erick and Alvida Strom. On Aug. 12, 1954, he was united in marriage to the former Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Lindsay.
Following marriage, they raised their family in Fort Frances.
Bud was an electrician for 44 years at the local papermill. Before and during his retirement, he enjoyed travelling with his wife, Betty, and also loved the outdoors, either gardening while at home or hunting and fishing with family and friends.
Bud will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Left to grieve are his wife, Betty Strom, of Fort Frances, Ont.; two daughters, Caralynn and husband, Stephen Tighe, of Ottawa, Ont., and Lindsay Strom of Calgary, Alta.; one son, Eric Strom and his wife, Lisa, of Fort Frances, Ont.; and six grandchildren.
He also is survived by one sister, Edna Hewitt of Calgary, Alta.; and nieces and nephews.
Following cremation at Rainy River Cremation Services in International Falls, Mn., a private family service was held.
