ANTHONY BUYAR

Anthony “Tony” Buyar passed away peacefully in the early-morning hours of Sunday, July 20, 2008 at his home in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 86.
His funeral service was held at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church in Vernon on July 24, 2008, and was well-attended by family and Tony’s friends and neighbours.
Tony is survived by his wife, Anne, of Vernon, B.C.; son, David of Prince George, B.C.; and grandsons, Nicholas and Michael of Prince George, B.C. and Daniel of Fredericton, N.B.
Two of Tony’s sisters, Olga and Lydia, continue to reside in Dauphin, Man.
Tony was a faithful adherent to his Ukrainian Orthodox beliefs and a passionate practitioner of his Ukrainian heritage.
Tony was buried in the family plot in Fort Frances, Ont. on July 29, 2008.
