ANTHONY ALLAN (BUCK) KABATAY

It is with great sorrow that the family of Anthony Kabatay announces his sudden passing at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. on Saturday, July 22, 2006.
Buck was born Sept. 28, 1970 to Tony and Virginia Kabatay in Fort Frances. He lived in Seine River First Nation all of his life, where he worked as a laborer, plumber, and heavy equipment operator.
As a young man, he also worked as firefighter.
He had a genuine love and affection for his children, with whom he cherished the happy times he had with them. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and trapping.
He was a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan and took pleasure in driving around in the Buckmobile. He was good friend who was always willing to help those around him.
He will be greatly missed by his mother, Virginia Kabatay; children, Eric Morrison, Bruce Morrison, and Anthony Kabatay Jr., and their mother, Leona, and Angel Kabatay, Chelsea Kabatay, and stepdaughter, Rachel Kabatay, and their mother, Shelly.
He also is survived by his siblings, Susan (Steve) Johnson, Glen (Darlene) Johnson, Gerald (Veronica) Johnson, Jeff (Candace) Johnson, and Floyd Kabatay; half-brother, Ken Johnson; aunts, Agnes (Norm) Kabatay, Agnes (George) Spencer, and Margaret Kabatay; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Buck was predeceased by his father, Tony Kabatay; step-father, Ben Kabatay; brother, Norman Kabatay; infant brother, Clayton Kabatay; and infant sisters, Sandra and Anita.
A wake will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2006 from 4 p.m. at the Seine River First Nation gymnasium.
Funeral services will be held in the morning of Thursday, July 27, 2006 at the Seine River First Nation gymnasium. Interment will take place in the Crilly Cemetery at Seine River First Nation.
