It is with great sadness that the family Annie Elisabeth Holborn announces her passing on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the LaVerendrye General Hospital.

Annie was born on October 6, 1919 to Mary and William Falloon Sr. in Westbourne, Manitoba. She was united in marriage to Edward Holborn on July 12, 1941. She settled into their family home, raising their five children. She enjoyed being at home, cooking, baking and knitting. She was always busy, gardening, tending to her houseplants and spending time outdoors. She always looked forward to winter, she enjoyed the frequent snowfalls, especially shoveling them. After Ed’s passing she moved to Green Manor and it was her home for over 30 years. She enjoyed visiting with neighbours, crafts at the Friendship Centre, her weekly trips uptown to shop and Sunday suppers at the Harborage; if she couldn’t make a supper they were kind enough to deliver it for her. She, and her family, were truly blessed that she was able to still live on her own and be so active at 101!

She was predeceased by her parents; husband Ed on May 26, 1998; daughter Beatrice Loveday; sons-in-law Allan Cann and Terry Pettis; brothers John and Bill Falloon; sisters Lottie Bombay and Blanche Harper; grandsons Morris, Keith, Gary and Warren Loveday; great-granddaughter Hailey Loveday and great-great-grandsons Justin and Cameron Ogier.

Annie will be greatly missed by her children John (Dawn) Holborn, Clarence (Nancy) Holborn, Betty Cann and Irene Pettis; 15 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Beverly Falloon as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home with Reverend Schalk Naude officiating. Interment will take place in the Riverview Cemetery. Friends will be able to attend the service virtually through a link at the Green Funeral Home website.

The pallbearers will be her sons Clarence and John Holborn, grandsons Brent Shine, Trevor Holborn, Scott Holborn and great-great-grandson James Hagen.
