ANGUS LOUGHIE MCFAYDEN

Angus L. McFayden, 87, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 1998 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances.
Angus was born Sept. 4, 1910 in La Vallee, Ont., where he was also raised. Angus was united in marriage in 1939 to Ruby Murchison and settled in La Vallee, Ont. for several years before moving to Rainy River, Ont.
Angus drove the cream truck for many years, as well as being the buttermaker for both the Fort Frances Creamery and the Rainy River Creamery.
He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was always tinkering and doing hobbies with refrigeration and electrical work.
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mary McFayden; wife, Ruby McFayden (1968); brother, Borden McFayden; and sister, Bessie Foster.
Angus is survived by his son, Keith McFayden and his wife, Wendy, of Thunder Bay, Ont.; two granddaughters, Shannon and her husband, Paul Johnston, of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Tracy McFayden of Toronto, Ont.; great-granddaughter, Alyssa Johnston; sister, Hilda Cotton and sister-in-law, Muriel McFayden, both of Fort Frances, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
At Angus’ request, cremation has taken place in Thunder Bay. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
