Andrew Michael Spellman, 20, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances.
Andrew was born Jan. 27, 1988 in Winnipeg, Man. He was an avid outdoorsperson who enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing.
He was looking forward to a career in aviation.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Dawn Spellman; father, Michael Vanderhorst; and brother, David.
Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Rosemary Spellman (Lyle) of Fort Frances, Ont.; maternal grandfather, Donald (Bill) Spellman of Rocky Mountain House, Alta.; paternal grandfather, Joseph Vanderhorst of Fort Frances, Ont.; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Florence Vanderhorst; and many of his close friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Rainycrest Chaplin John Chornabay will officiate, followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
Friends may visit prior to the service at Green Funeral Home.
The pallbearers will be Colton Achilles, Cody Scott, Mike Pattison, John Sitter, Jon Rolston, Josh Wickstrom, Josh Swire, and Danny Lalonde.
The honourary pallbearers will be Zach Whitman, Darrin Rodin, and all his friends.
