AMELIA E. BRUYERE

It is with our deepest regret and sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Amelia E. Bruyere, at Couchiching First Nation, Ont. on Friday, July 2, 1999.
As we mourn the loss of our beloved Mom, we take comfort in knowing that she left us in the manner of her choosing with her family and friends by her side.
Millie was born May 10, 1926 on Couchiching First Nation, where she resided most of her life. She was united in marriage to Clifford on July 10, 1944.
She was predeceased by her husband on Dec. 10, 1975; two sons, Keith in 1972 and Glen in 1985; grandson, Craig Strachan in 1974; parents, George and Mary McPherson; sisters, Marjorie Morrisseau and Ethel Kenny; and brothers, Rudolph, Arnold, and Leo McPherson.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Leslie of International Falls, Mn., Russell (Alice) of Tacoma, Wash., MaryLou (Terry Parks) of Fort Frances, Ont., Sharon (Murray Strachan) of Couchiching, Pauline (Greg Perreault) of Couchiching, Laura (David Bruyere) of Couchiching, Tina and friend Mike Roy of Couchiching, Delray (Cindy) of Mundare, Alta., Kevin (Cory) of Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., Holly (Vernon Cogger) of Fort Frances, Ont., and Guy of Edmonton, Alta.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Lisa and Clifford Bruyere, Robyn and Tami Bruyere, Troy and James Parks, Terri Lynn (Daniel Davis), Michelle and Nicole (Craig Miller) Strachan, Nathan (Lonnie Sultvedt) and Tim (Kim DeGagne) Perreault, Laureen (Jason Hill), Trisha and Kayla Bruyere, Melissa (Kelly Baker) Pattison, Jonathan Bruyere, Chelsea and Justin Bruyere, Randy Morrisseau, Chris (Jen) Morrisseau and Robyn Cogger, Desiree and Adrian Bruyere, and Samantha and Elizabeth Bruyere-Tucker.
She also is survived by her sisters, Mrs. Edna Lockhart, and Phyllis Jameus of Fort Frances, Ont.; brothers, Earl McPherson of Fort McMurray, Alta., Archie McPherson (Marie) of Ignace, Ont., and Dennis (Tracey) McPherson of Thunder Bay, Ont.; aunts, Francis McPherson of Couchiching and Shirley Laktos of Winnipeg, Man.; and by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 7, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Couchiching First Nation. Father James Panikulam officiated, with interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Friends visited Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Parish prayers were offered at 7:30 p.m. with Deacon Elmer Mainville officiating.
Rosebud has left us only to bloom in Heaven forever.
