Amber Nina (Thompson) Anderso, 88, of International Falls, Mn., passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2006 at the Littlefork Care Center.
She was born Sept. 16, 1917 in Fort Frances, Onta. to Frederick and Caroline (Clifford) Thompson. The second of eight children, she was raised and attended school in Fort Frances.
On Sept. 9, 1941, she was united in marriage to Donald Albert Anderson and moved to International Falls. Together, they raised and loved six children, Bob (Carol) Anderson of International Falls, Mn., Birket Anderson of Minneapolis, Mn., Donald Anderson, Jr. of Minneapolis, Mn., Charlene (Kevin) Jensen of International Falls, Mn., Arden Thompson of Boston, Mass., and Lee (Judie) Anderson of Baltimore, Md.
She also is survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis (John) Desautels and Colleen Carpenter of Winnipeg, Man.; brother, Ernie (Lois) Thompson of Fort Frances, Ont.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Amber was loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Donald in 1995; brother, Birket Thompson; and sisters, Fern (Tilson), Yvonne (Bonnie) Readman, and Arvella (Billie) Leeson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2006 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in International Falls.
Interment will be in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.
