Amanda was born May 29, 1971 in Atikokan, Ont. She lived in Atikokan until the age of 13, then moved to Fort Frances and led a full life. It was filled with many happy memories of family and friends and most of all her life with Kevin.
Kevin and Amanda exchanged wedding vows Sept. 2. 1995 at Calvary Tabernacle Church.
She loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. She loved animals and took pride in her pets. She will be greatly missed and loved always by everyone.
A special thank you to Theresa and Rob Panizza for being such wonderful cousins and friends. Also to the whole family who gave support by going to Toronto and lending a hand to Amanda and Kevin in their 14-month stay.
It was Amanda’s choice to have a double lung transplant to extend her life. Because of her own situation and that of the friends she made while in Toronto, she wished for people to be aware of the importance of organ donors and funding for more research in this area of medicine.
In one family’s greatest time of tragedy and sadness, they can give the greatest gift of all, life to another.
