ALLENE PERUSSE

The family of Allene Perusse (Clement) announces the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 100 years old.
Born in Stratton, Ont. on July 30, 1905 to Frank and Alice Clement, Mom passed away peacefully at Grandview Lodge in Thunder Bay, Ont. She had moved to Thunder Bay from Fort Frances, Ont. in 1959.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter; her parents; two brothers, Edgar and Lenard; three sons, Walter (in infancy), Duane in 2001, and Dale in 2004; and son-in-law, Bill Plexman in 2005.
Surviving are three daughters, Donna Quinn of Thunder Bay, Ont., Delphine Lucas (Red) of British Columbia, and Gerarda Plexman of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and three sons, Melvyn (Louise) of Winnipeg, Man., and Douglas (Blanche) and Darryl (Connie), all of Thunder Bay, Ont.
Also surviving are 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Her wishes for cremation took place Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at Riverside Cemetery in Thunder Bay. She was placed with her parents at the Fort Frances Cemetery in Fort Frances.
A graveside service was held in celebration of Allene’s long and meaningful life on Friday, June 16, 2006, with Chaplain John Chornaby officiating.
We celebrate Mom’s and Nanny’s life and ours together as family of a special lady we were blessed to have had with us for many years. She was a story-teller of her life, and had many stories to share about good times, hard times, loving times, and forgiveness.
Allene enjoyed reading, crafting, playing piano, music, hockey, and TV news. She also loved the grandchildren, who made her laugh.
Allene worked hard in her lifetime and raised her eight children well. She was our elder, and in her time of need, her family was by her side to comfort and care for her.
