Allan James Edgar Wolframe

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
Allan James Edgar Wolframe will always be lovingly remembered by his wife, Evelyn; sons, Dwayne (Cherry) and Darcy (Colleen); daughter, Gaylene (Bob); grandson, Michael; and granddaughters, Sharon and Kataryna.
He also leaves to mourn his brother, Ralph.
Allan was predeceased by his parents, Cecil and Stella Wolframe; and brother, Roy.
Allan was born April 2, 1934 and was raised in Emo, Ont. His early years were spent mining underground in Atikokan, Ont. Then in 1964, he moved to Kenora to raise his family and establish the successful business, Community Well Drilling Ltd.
In the subsequent years, he also founded Wolframe’s World of Water.
He was a member of The Loyal Order of Moose and Khartum Temple.
During his lifetime, Allan made many friends and brought smiles to the faces of those who knew him. His outgoing personality and zest for life will truly be missed.
Our family would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. C. R. Scaife and Dr. C. M. Workman, nurses, staff, and the Palliative Care Team at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital for their special care to make Allan’s last days comfortable.
A special thank you also goes out to Rev. Gordon Day-Janz for his comforting words and prayers.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations may be made in Allan’s memory to the Palliative Care Consultation Service at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, 21 Sylvan St., Kenora, Ont., P9N 3W7.
A memorial service, led by Rev. Gordon Day-Janz, was held Wednesday, March 31, 1999 at 10 a.m. at the Knox United Church in Kenora.
A reception for family and friends was held at the Rabbit Lake Community Centre following the service.
