ALICE VIRGINIA IVALL (STORKSON)

Alice Virginia Ivall (Storkson) passed away surrounded by loving family on November 18, 2025, at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario.

Alice was born on April 10, 1947, in Rainy River and grew up there. She was the eldest of eight children. From an early age, she took on the role of caregiver, helping to raise her brothers and sisters and throughout her life she remained a pillar of the family, offering guidance, comfort, and quiet strength to everyone who loved her.

Alice leaves behind her sons Michael and Dennis (Janet); and her cherished grandchildren Dylan and Alyssa (Kevin). She is also survived by her siblings Bob, Marie, Roger, Rita (Anthony), Eddy (Theresa), and Michelle.

She was predeceased by her father Albert Storkson and mother Theresa Sleeman-Storkson; her brother Leo Storkson; sister-in-law Violet Storkson; and brother-in-law Tom Kreger.

Alice married Robert Ivall and together they moved to Winnipeg, where their two boys were born. From there they moved back home to Rainy River where they raised the boys. It was after this move back to Rainy River that Alice started her working career at the Arctic Cat Plant. In 1975, she started her service with the Ontario Provincial Police as a secretary, dispatcher and stenographer. Her career spanned more than 30 years in both the Rainy River and Fort Frances detachments. On retirement she remained a proud resident of Fort Frances and was dedicated to her community.

Alice had a warm, gentle spirit and a wonderful sense of humour that could brighten any room. She was caring, sensitive and wise. She was also an incredibly talented cook and baker who took great pride in her cake decorating. She took great pride in her home and supported and cared for everyone around her.

A graveside service with immediate family will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River, Ontario.

Donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Riverside Health Care Facilities, Chemo Care Ward.
She was loved by all. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering care.
