ALBERT PLOURDE

Albert Plourde, 82, was called home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, April 19, 2009.
Albert was born April 26, 1949 in St. Basile, Madawaska County, New Brunswick to Wilfred and Alvine Plourde.
Albert moved to Fort Frances, Ont. in 1949, where he then met the love of his life, Vivian Bruyere, whom he married in 1957 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and together they raised three children.
Albert was a devoted Catholic, husband, and father. He worked all his life as a lumberjack throughout Eastern Canada until his retirement.
Albert’s favourite pastime was talking with family and friends.
Albert is survived by his daughter, Sophia Toffoli of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and sons, Darcy (Lisa) Plourde of Kenora, Ont. and Barry Plourde (Bonnie Allan) of Fort Frances, Ont.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Donna Toffoli-Gardner (Vince), Cherie Toffoli (Steve Smith), Tracey Toffoli, and Tara Toffoli (Oliver Rusnak); 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Joey (Duke) Bruyere and family of Fort Frances, Ont.; brother-in-law, Andre Dominque of Lorraine, Que.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Albert was predeceased by his father, Wilfred Plourde; his mother; Alvine Plourde (nee Breton); his wife, Vivian Plourde (nee Bruyere); and his sister, Jacqueline Dominque.
Family and friends may visit Wednesday, April 22, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Parish prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances. Rev. Mr. Bob Grynol will officiate, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
The pallbearers will be Barry Plourde, Darcy Plourde, Kirk Bruyere, David Bruyere, Marty Morrisseau, and Ryan Adams.
