AGNES MARIE MICHAYLUK

Agnes Marie Michayluk, 78, of Fort Frances, Ont., passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
Agnes was born Dec. 20, 1931 in Fort Frances to Napoleon and Sara Mayer. She was raised in Fort Frances, attending school here.
She was united in marriage to Nick Michayluk on June 18, 1949.
She worked with the Red Cross Homemakers and then at La Verendrye Hospital as a cook. She was an avid cook, seamstress, golfer, and reader.
She also taught herself to play the piano, accordion, and guitar. Agnes passed these passions along to her family.
She loved animals and spoke fluent French; even teaching the cows commands in French.
She was predeceased by her parents, Napoleon and Sara; husband, Nick, on Aug. 3, 1985; brother, Edward; and sister, Rose Marie.
Agnes leaves behind her daughters, Liann (Michael) Lubrick of Brantford, Ont. and Sheree Jewell of Alberton Township, Ont.; grandchildren, Carrie Lubrick, Jessica Lubrick, Kirstan (Michel) Toussaint, and Nicholas Jewell (fiancé, Feleasha Bott); and great-grandchildren, Kaden, Mason, and Reed.
Also surviving are her siblings, Pearl, Don, Marry Ann, Marcel, Annette, and Jeanette; special friend, Harold Coleman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Friday, Sept. 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, with Fr. Francis Pudicherry officiating.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment was held in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Frances.
