Sadly the family announces the passing of Adrian Peter Versluis of Lake of the Woods Twp., on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at the Rainy River Hospital.
Born in the Netherlands September 21, 1942, in the village of Hippolytushoef, Adrian immigrated to Canada in 1949 with his parents and brother Simon. He received his education in the Transcona Springfield School division and worked for Canadian National Railway for 30 years. Upon retiring he went to work for Canac / Savage for 15 years.
Adrian will be greatly missed by his partner Tanya; his children Duane (Deborah), Sherrie, Bradley and their mother Cheryl; grandchildren Riley, Rebecca, Jenna, Alexander, Noah; step-children Darren (Jill), John Paul; and grandchildren Cody and Aiden.
Adrian is also survived by his brothers Simon (Leah) and Fred (Lori); sister Frances (Auke); and many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Adriaan and Fenna (Crans).
As per Adrian’s wishes, a private interment will take place in Bergland Cemetery, Bergland Ontario at a later date.
