Zest for life

Dear editor:
I was informed of the passing of Walter (Woody) Gray recently. I am writing to express my respect for Woody and of the way he handled his disabilities/illness.
I work with persons with disabilities and always find it interesting how people deal with their disability. Woody demonstrated to me the best way to deal with illness. Every time I met or visited him, I came away at amazement with his positive attitude and zest for life.
His family, and especially Florence, contributed greatly to Woody’s wonderful demeanour. Without their care, it would have been difficult for Woody to keep his independence and, therefore, his great attitude.
Sincerely,
John Helliar,
Winnipeg, Man.
