Worthwhile endeavour

Dear editor:
Thank you to the entire community for purchasing the Christmas DVD/CD set in support of the Salvation Army’s Christmas Cheer Fund.
Some $4,000 has been donated to the fund so far.
This set will continue to be sold throughout the year to provide more funds for 2013.
Thank you to the performers who gave their time and talents to make this a reality—Ken Kellar, Lauren Gurski, Erica Tymkin, Scott Barker, Shannon Darby, Mike McCaig, Garnet Cornell, Marnie Dutton, and Entirely Mac (Wayne and Dannette MacIntyre).
A special thank you to the businesses that helped us sell the DVD/CDs, including Safeway, Lowey’s Christmas Store, Clover Valley Farmers’ Market, Tompkins Hardware, Sight & Sound, and TD Canada Trust.
We certainly couldn’t have done it without their help.
This has been a worthwhile community endeavour and we very pleased to have been a part of this project.
