Dear sir:
We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the residents of Fort Frances, Couchiching, Emo, Blackhawk, Bergland, and Sleeman for coming through with your generous support of the Kidney Foundation during its recent door-to-door campaign.
Because of you, as well as the zone captains and the canvassers who volunteered their valuable time, we realized an amount of $8,900.
All funds raised underwrite major research grants, provide services to kidney patients (including Camp Dorset), and supply educational packages and public awareness, particularly in preventive medicine and organ donor awareness.
Thank you again from the Kidney Foundation which, since its establishment in 1964, has been helping the millions of Canadians who suffer from kidney failure and related diseases, such as high blood pressure, kidney stones, diabetes, and urinary tract infections.
In closing, on a personal note, we are so appreciative and touched by the zone captains and volunteers who have faithfully stood by us over the years and have said “yes” when we ask.
