On Friday, Sept. 11, the Friends of the Library held their annual “tag day.”
We are very grateful to the local businesses which allowed “tagging” outside their premises. We also appreciate the publicity which the Times always provides for this event.
Our fabulous September weather held until the final hour, when a brief downpour was experienced. Our devoted “taggers” nevertheless did a superb job, which netted $2,311.65.
Once again, our generous community made this endeavour extremely worthwhile.
We wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteer “taggers” who helped make this event a success.
Proceeds from this event, and others of the Friends of the Library, are used to purchase extras such as the new circulation desk and furniture in the reading room, which are not included in the annual library budget or the recent building fund.
