Dear editor:
While en route to Kenora last weekend, it became “painfully” obvious to me that not only our neighbours to the south have restroom/bathroom issues to deal with.
Northern Ontario is void of anything remotely close to what one finds at rest stops in the U.S. And the few “outhouse” facilities provided are tightly-secured to prevent vandalism (I am told) during the winter months.
Go figure!
Well, winter is past—and I really don’t care if I see “Men,” “Women,” “Gender Neutral,” “Animal,” “Mineral,” or “Vegetable” signs on the doorway.
I only ask, for the sake of aging bladders, please unlock the damn doors!
Sincerely,
Jacklynne Guimond
