Two names missed

Bill Stearns

Dear editor:
It was nice to see an article on the Rainy River Community College women’s hockey team (Fort Frances Times, March 3).
They are, without a doubt, one of the most successful hockey teams in this part of the country. For the past two years, they have won the national championship in the American Collegiate Hockey League—and are going back this year as they have just been ranked #1 in their division.
It was not easy getting that ranking. This is a very young team, with only two returning players from last year. Yet since January, they have lost only one game.
Eight of the 13 players are local girls for the Fort and the Falls area. Your article listed the local girls, but left out two very important players: Stevie Langford of Fort Frances and Kelsey Feurst of Dryden.
I hope you will have more articles on the RRCC teams (there is a rumour there will be a men’s hockey team next year).
Thanks,
Bill Stearns
