Too much sense?

Joan Buttazoni

Dear editor:
Riverside Health Care Facilities, in their ignorant wisdom, has decided that the Emo Health Centre should do without an X-ray machine.
Doctors need said machines and so do the people of the Golden Age Manor, which is attached to the hospital, who have a hard time getting to Fort Frances.
Residents of Barwick and Stratton, as well as the nearby First Nation reserves (Sabaskong, Manitou Rapids, and Northwest Bay), and workers at the New Gold Mine north of Barwick would need anywhere from half-an-hour to two hours to get to the Fort for an X-ray.
Our population has grown considerably. And if Third World countries can get refurbished machines, why can’t Emo?
Maybe it makes too much sense.
Signed,
Joan Buttazoni
