Dear editor,
I just wanted to write a short note to say how much I appreciated the efforts of the Hydro One workers in the Fort Frances area.
A couple of weeks ago, a bolt of lightning severely damaged the 80-foot White Spruce tree just outside my house.
When I noticed the tree damage the next day and the proximity of the primary powerline, I called my neighbor, Ed Stromness, at home on his time-off.
Not only did he assure me the tree could probably be removed, he hopped in his personal vehicle and came to take a look.
The tree was scheduled for removal early the very next week.
Ed Stromness, Bill Mueller, Mike Gurski and a number of other workers removed the hazard tree is less than one hour including cleaning up and chipping all the branches.
I was very pleased and impressed with the fast, efficient, courteous and professional manner of the crew in removing this tree hazard.
