Dear editor:
Thank you, David Kircher! You are a breath of fresh air in this stagnant so-called democracy that feels the taxpayer is not entitled to know what is being done with our taxes.
Thank goodness you are willing to stand up for us. It is too bad that there are not more people like you.
How the previous board of education could [potentially] give away $1.3 million, and feel that we had no right to know, is totally unethical.
We also appreciate that the new board chairman, Michael Lewis, feels that the taxpayers are equals and responds to our questions.
