Dear editor:
I had the opportunity on the first Saturday in June to host the Grand Master of Masons of Ontario at a reception at a local hotel.
He and his wife were accompanied by many Grand Officers and spouses from southern Ontario. Masons and wives from all over Northwestern Ontario also were there.
Our entertainment for the evening was the Fort Frances Highlanders pipe and drum band, along with their new Ceilidh show which featured the singing of Lindsey Hamilton.
Their performance was outstanding, and the comments of all–locals and out-of-town guests–were very favourable.
It was a terrific show, and I want everyone in town to know that we have a talented entertainment group–second-to-none–right here in our community.
My sincere thanks go to leader Dr. Bruce Lidkea and all of the Highlanders for making our special evening so enjoyable.
