Dear sir:
One headline in last week’s Times, “True meaning of Christmas missing,” struck a nerve with me.
It saddens me that every time we’re attending a Christmas program in one of our local public schools, you hear and see everything else but the true Christmas story.
Could there be perhaps a connection between the recent rash of robberies, etc. and the fading out of these things which give us a real foundation and hope?
As a family, we like singing, especially during this wonderful season. One hymn we sing in German translates into English as follows: “How well it is for a country and how well for a city where this King is allowed to reside.”
He’s the only One who can give us true joy, peace, and satisfaction.
Signed,
