Spoiling a good thing

Dear sir:
When the government decided to try to force teachers to supervise extra-curricular activities, our local high school teachers already were participating at a rate of roughly 85 percent.
They knew these activities were important in making high school an enjoyable, memorable, and confidence-building experiences. Our teachers demonstrated the value of leading well-rounded lives and volunteering within the community.
Our teachers already knew these things and care enough to willingly participate. Too bad our children are losing out because the government spoiled a good thing.
Signed,
Kathy Cuthbertson
