Special message

Dear editor,
As a family we certainly would like to congratulate you for your annual “Glad Tidings” editorial, taken from Luke chapter two.
I know we have often voiced our appreciation to each other for this very special message on Christmas Day.
I also found it neat to hear somewhat the history of this grand feature from our publisher on A4 of Dec. 23 issue of the Times.
This past February 2013, I actually was able to visit these “Shepherd fields” just outside the town of Bethlehem where also King David herded his father’s sheep when he was young.
The very best part for me actually is the promise of Christ himself that one day HE would return to this earth again.
Hymn writer J. Wilbur Chapman put it this way:
“One day when heaven was filled with His praises,
“One day when sin was as black as could be,
“Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin—
“Dwelt among men, my example is He!
“Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
“Buried, He carried my sins far away;
“Rising, He justified freely forever:
“One day He’s coming—O glorious day!”
Thanks again,
Mark Gerber
