Sorry State

Dear editor,
I’m not sure if the town bought the property on the 600 block of Front Street to let the constructions companies use it or if they plan on venturing into another real estate deal.
I do know it looked a lot better with the house sitting there on clean cut grass.
I’m embarrassed to have signs directing tourists down Front Street to see our beautification and having them drive through the mess there.
Maybe we should have waited for the construction to finish before sending any more traffic down that maze.
I’m not sure what sort of deal was made but I do not believe this property is zoned for a construction site which is what the neighbours have put up with for the last three years.
I am also sure if we let our grass grow three feet high the town would say something, yet the grass on their property is at least that high in areas.
I only hope the construction is done soon, the equipment is moved off this lot and hopefully our tax dollars will not be used to become landlords on yet another building.
