Dear Mike:
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all those who supported the recent “Cuts for Cancer” campaign which succeeded in raising such an astounding sum of money on my behalf.
First and foremost, a huge thank you to the five brave individuals—Patty and Andrew Labbe, Rachel Korchak, Joanne Swire, and Michael Hilborn—who collected all those pledges and cheerfully and courageously had their heads shaved on my behalf.
It was a real selfless act to lose your hair to help me, and I know you must have worked very hard prior to the event to collect all those pledges. To say that I am “overwhelmed” by the amount collected is an understatement!
Thank you so much to the Hair & Body Care Shoppe professionals for their hard work organizing this event, and for giving up their Saturday to work and donate their receipts to assist me.
I am so honoured that you did this for me.
Many thanks also to the wonderful giving people from this area who pledged to the “Cuts for Cancer.” I am forever amazed at the generosity and support that all of the kind folks in Rainy River District have extended to me. It has made my illness so much easier to bear.
Last, but certainly not least, a big thank you to Michael Hilborn and the Fort Frances Times for the excellent publicity and coverage of this event.
