Sincere thanks

Dear sir:
On behalf of the Kidney Foundation, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the residents of Fort Frances, Couchiching, and Alberton for their generous support in our 2002 March Drive.
Due to your contributions, $9,200 was raised.
Each day, an average of 12 Canadians learn their kidneys have failed. This is a disease that has no cure, and requires dialysis or a transplant.
Your assistance allows the Foundation to continue our vital work in the region with our patient services programs, including emergency financial assistance, organ donor awareness, advocacy for patients, camp dialysis for children, and research to find a cure.
Last year, 69 research awards were granted for a total of more than $3 million to kidney-related research.
We gratefully acknowledge the major role played by the zone captains, canvassers who volunteer their time, the individuals who welcome them to their door, and the following organizations: the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 29 and the Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Special mention to the students of Fort Frances High School who canvassed through their volunteer program.
Again, on behalf of all Canadians with kidney disease, thank you for your support. If we can be of assistance to you, call 274-3326 or 274-9265.
Signed,
Ross Pearson
