Sickening mess
Dear sir:
My family and I went to the second beach at Porter’s Inlet on Thursday, July 8 and we were very disappointed to see garbage scattered all over.
Last year, we took advantage of the low water while camping there for a week and spent many hours on the beach picking up garbage and broken glass.
A rock on the beach must have been a beer bottle target. We sifted out full pails of glass splinters in the sand around that rock.
To go there this year and see a mess again almost made me sick.
It was a large “respectable” family gathering of irresponsible people that did this. Hopefully, they plan on going back there for another party—a “work party.”
