Saluting a volunteer

Dear editor:
My purpose for writing is to positively acknowledge Henry Miller, one of
our town’s most giving—and modest—volunteers.
As both a retired teacher/principal and a passionate outdoorsman, Mr.
Miller has offered an amazing amount of his time and knowledge to our
class at J.W. Walker School, and to many other classes and organizations
across the district.
He is a model citizen and volunteer. I am glad my class has been
given the chance to interact with such a positive role model.
In tribute to Mr. Miller, my Grade 7/8 class decided to write this list
poem about him. We hope that he continues to inspire future students for
many years to come.
Who is Henry Miller?
A wonderful volunteer, teacher, and person.
A smart guy who makes you want to learn more.
A great outdoorsman.
A hard worker with a kind heart.
Ecologist, environmentalist, conservationist.
Generous with his time and knowledge.
An inspiration.
That is Henry Miller!
Sincerely,
Ms. Kate Woods and
her Grade 7/8 class
