Reconsider this

Dear sir:
On Saturday, Sept. 7, the Therapeutic Riding Association will be holding its annual “Freedom Ride.” This fundraising event helps to offset the cost and upkeep of the horses needed to provide physically-challenged people the opportunity to go riding.
Not only does horseback riding encourage positive socialization, it stimulates muscle use to help increase flexibility and range of motion. This, in turn, promotes increased self-esteem and feelings of well-being.
In past years, area motorcycle enthusiasts have lent their support with a motorcycle poker run, donating proceeds to the cause. In conjunction with this year’s ride, I would like to challenge area motorcyclists to participate by accumulating pledges in order to match or beat the horseback riders’ total.
The poker run/fundraiser will take place on Aug. 31.
Motorcyclists may get their pledge sheets and further information about the ride from Good Impressions Printing (342 Scott St.) or 202 Hair Classics (202 Second St.) on Tuesday-Friday (back door please).
Get your pledge sheets as soon as possible and come out for a day of riding, prizes, and fun.
Thank you for the space in your paper.
Signed,
TJ McCabe
