Please don’t forget

Dear friends:
    I’m writing to you because many people in our district are experiencing great adversity this summer, and we could really use your help.
    I know that during summer vacation, it’s difficult to remember people who are hungry, homeless, and hurting. But no matter what time of the year, the Salvation Army in Fort Frances is committed to those in need who are seeking to rediscover dignity and hope.
    With donations dropping off during the summer months, we need extra help from friends like you. That’s why I’m asking you to send a special summer gift today.
    Just imagine a full table of the needed food for those less fortunate, the smile of their children, and the feeling of doing the right in our heart for our district.
    A donation of $25, $50, $100, or whatever you feel is right for our ministry in need, can be sent to 316 Victoria Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 2C2.
    I know this is an unusual request but the past “Red Shield” campaign did not bring enough support for our ministry and summer months are especially tough here at the Salvation Army. We depend on the generosity of caring friends like you.
    I’m very grateful for how you’ve stood with us in the past. I hope we can depend on your compassionate heart once again and give hope today.
