Oops!

Dear editor,
    I’m obviously the “new” kid on the block with regard to the fireworks.
    In my excitement to get my letter written last week and into Wednesday’s paper, I inadvertently omitted the names of four very important people. For that, I apologize to Ken Munn, Hal Mikelson, Bob Wepruk and Barb Turgeon.
    Every year, Ken provides the flatbed trailer on which the mortars and wood are loaded and brought to the site from the town garage. He also uses his tractor to move the sand into various places on site and then returns on cleanup day to push the sand to the beach.
    Hal and Bob seem to be everywhere, loading, unloading, setting up and just helping wherever needed. Barb provides all the food, (home-cooked), including mega desserts on the day of the fireworks and our feast is absolutely DELICIOUS!
    So, you can see it takes last week’s list plus these four people to provide a July 1 for all to enjoy!
    Once again, my sincere apologies to Ken, Hal, Bob and Barb. I promise to do better next year!
