Sir:
CBC Radio reported an astronomer working at midnight last Wednesday (Feb. 24) saw a very bright light in the sky that lasted for more than a second and a half. He thought it was a major meteorite.
The police also got reports of the light from their officers on patrol, and people as far away as Mattawa in the east and Sudbury in the west.
People thought it was a UFO or an aircraft on fire.
I thought it would be obvious–it was the Devil’s “Chariot of Fire” bringing help to one of his own, Mike Harris, in his home riding in the forthcoming provincial election.
