Dear editor:
Re: a notice in the Times last week by the Rainy River District School Board to hold a meeting on Nov. 19 at a business in Fort Frances.
This meeting is for the school board to receive information from the three Pupil Accommodation Review processes that were held for Sturgeon Creek, Donald Young, and Crossroads Schools.
I’m questioning why this meeting is not being held in a community that is affected by the process.
The meeting could have been held at any one of the three schools, or the Legion in Emo or the arena in Emo. That would have been a central location.
I guess our two trustees for the affected areas either didn’t have a voice in the decision or they don’t care.
I am disappointed that the school board didn’t have enough respect for the taxpayers of the affected areas to hold the meeting where it mattered the most.
Thank you,
Glenda Belluz
