Misinformed

Dear editor:
In the Fort Frances Times of Jan. 24, the newly-formed “Crossroute Forest Sportsman’s Alliance” was profiled.
I was ashamed that these “sportsmen” who claim to represent the “public” couldn’t even spell words correctly on their protest signs. I also was offended at their misinformation surrounding the Crossroute/Trout River Road issue.
If these sportsmen had taken the time to carefully examine all of the information presented at the previous three public open houses, they would realize that the MNR is not unfairly closing roads in favour of public interest, but simply trying to safeguard some of our forests against 100 percent motor vehicle access.
I think that the Sportsman’s Alliance should have first consulted the proper authorities before organizing a group of irate citizens and misinforming the public.
Sincerely,
Chad Jack
