Dear sir:
The JK teachers would like to publicly say how impressed we were with the snowmobile ride which was organized for our young students at Sixth Street School on Jan. 22-23.
Family and community involvement, and the generous participation of snowmobile club members, turned it into a very enjoyable occasion. Safety was paramount. They helped adjust the children’s helmets, seated them on sleds and machines, and kept checking along the way for cold faces.
We and the children truly appreciate the special efforts made by these people to take time off work and their activities to make it such a memorable, exciting ride.
For some of the students, it was their very first time on a snowmobile.
Many parents also helped by providing treats or sharing helmets with the children. It was truly a community event.
We would especially like to thank Mr. Socholotuk, our main organizer and motivator. Thank you to everyone for a job well done.
Signed,
Helen Brow,
Jan Countess, and
Eunice Cunningham
