Dear editor:
We want to say thank you to all of the people and businesses who have contributed to the “Community Chest.”
Recently, when we had to go out of town for medical care, I contacted this group through a phone call to Linda Hamilton. She made a few phone calls to “Community Chest” members and they were able to help us financially.
These funds were very helpful.
It is people like this great group of volunteers, and the public and businesses that donate to this worthy cause, that help people in need.
In the Bible, we are called to be “Jesus’ hands and feet.” We are to “walk the walk,” not just “talk the talk.” This means we need to actually help people that we can help—and don’t just talk about it.
This is what this helpful organization does.
Thank you very much to everyone involved with the “Community Chest.”
