LYDIA ELIZABETH MARGARET TYCKON

Lydia “Lyda” Elizabeth Margaret Tyckon, 81, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at her residence Wednesday, July 1, 1998.
She was born May 26, 1917 in Fort Frances to the late William and Mary Ash.
She was united in marriage to William Tyckon on June 2, 1945. She was a long-time resident of Crozier, Ont. until her move to Fort Frances in 1986.
Lydia is survived by her daughter, Maxine Godick, and her children, Robbie (Tonia) and Jennifer, all of Thunder Bay, Ont.; and her son, William Tyckon and wife, Lorraine, and their children, Paul, Laura, and Allison, all of Melfort, Sask.
She also is survived by her sisters, Ila (Jack) Tiefenbacher and Loneta (Allan) Robertson of Fort Frances; brothers, Russell (Joan) Ash of Kelowna, B.C., and Morris (Pat) Ash and Dennis (Annette) Ash, both of Fort Frances; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1991; and sisters, Freda Zurick, Annie Ellen Langtry, and Alma Carter.
A private family graveside service was held at Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances on Monday, July 6, 1998 at 10 a.m. Rev. Mary Whitson officiated, followed by interment in Riverview Cemetery.
