Dear Editor,
It is good to be grateful.
Emo is a great place to live; we are grateful for our town, nestled on the banks of picturesque Rainy River—a gift from the Creator.
Emo has just hosted the annual Fall Fair in which farming is featured and furthered, and community spirit is fostered. We can be grateful for the farmers of all ages in this area for, as they say, “Farming is everyone’s bread and butter.” Keep up the good work!
How grateful we are for Mayor McQuaker and the council who lead with fortitude and dedication. They have displayed discretion—not discrimination—in decisions for our town as a whole. For example, in upholding matters of morality. We feel well represented, and we thank God for these leaders.
The Good Book gives us the ultimate reason to be grateful—for HOPE in this life and for the next. It’s called Salvation and is offered to all (see John 3:16). In contrast, God warns of times when good is called evil, and evil is accepted as good (Isaiah 5:20). I’m grateful for truth, guidance and hope.
