A few words from an irate senior who was ticketed on Tuesday, May 12 while attending the funeral at St. John’s Anglican Church.
I, too, went to the town hall to protest this ticket. Does the bylaw officer go down the street for every funeral at this church to pass out tickets?
I wonder if he has a quota to fill? This was an easy way—go down the street that has 15 cars in a row!
I was dismayed by Mr. Hallam’s response when I went to the town hall. He said he had been accused all day of following people around to ticket them. Well, boo hoo, Mr. Hallam.
He also said they didn’t know there was a funeral that day. Does that mean we wouldn’t have received a ticket if he had known?
I agree with Nancy Westover—if you have any compassion, donate the proceeds of the tickets to the Fort Frances Dialysis Unit.
