Oct. 17-23 is Canadian Foster Family Week, which is dedicated to honouring the foster families here in Rainy River District.
Foster families are essential to the work that takes place at Family & Children’s Services, and without the constant care and commitment these families provide, we would not be able to offer the protection that some children in our district desperately need.
Our foster families are meeting a need that is greater than ever before.
Foster parenting requires a great deal of commitment, compassion, and energy. It is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling jobs a family can undertake, yet one of the most challenging.
I would like to thank the dedicated foster parents and their families that give of themselves and their time to share their lives with children in need. These individuals deserve recognition and great thanks for the work that they do.
Family and Children’s Services of the District of Rainy River commends our foster families and recognizes the invaluable role they play in providing services to the children in our community.
Sincerely,
Christa Little
